Nationals in Government deliver $1.45m in funding for Waratah-Wynyard

Key projects on Waratah-Wynyard Council’s priority list will become a reality thanks to $1.45m in grants from the Nationals in Government, Tasmanian Nationals Senator Steve Martin has announced.

$1.35m will go towards the construction of the Anzac Park All Abilities Playground in Somerset.

The Wynyard Golf Club will receive $75,000 to upgrade club facilities including shed construction, workshop upgrade, installation of a disabled toilet in the club room, water storage solutions and a walkway.

$5000 will also go Coastal FM to repair the transmitter which was damaged by recent storms.

“I visit these communities, listen to what locals want and go and fight for them in Canberra. It is great news that Deputy Prime Minister and Nationals Leader Michael McCormack has agreed to release the money.”

“It is all about my agenda to get a fair share for regional Tasmania and help build stronger local communities.”
