Two key projects on West Tamar Council’s priority list will become a reality thanks to $5m in grants from the Nationals in Government, Tasmanian Nationals Senator Steve Martin has announced.
Senator Martin delivered the good news at Beauty Point with West Tamar Mayor Christina Holmdahl and Nationals candidate for Bass Carl Cooper.
$3m will go towards the implementation of the Beauty Point Master Plan including improved access, parking and pathways as well as associated landscaping.
$2m will go towards the Gravelly Beach Structure Plan which will improve access and the development of amenities, pathways etc.
“I visit these communities, listen to what locals want and go and fight for them in Canberra. It is great news that Deputy Prime Minister and Nationals Leader Michael McCormack has agreed to release the money.”
